Rooms and friends

A room is a separate game

A room is for people you actually invite. You write between 1 and 10 prompts for that room, then share a six-character code. The code uses letters and digits that are hard to mix up. Up to 16 players can be in a room. When it is full, another person cannot join.

Everyone in the room votes on the prompts the host wrote, then sees how that room split. Those prompts stay in the room. They are not added to the public bank, and they are not the daily five. They do not pay the daily score, and they do not extend the streak.

A room that goes seven days without a vote is closed, and the code stops working.

Friends

Friends are accounts, found by username. You send a request, they accept it, and a friends board appears alongside the daily, weekly, and all-time ranks. After you have voted on a prompt, you can see which side a friend picked. You do not see their choice before you have made yours.

Guest play has no username that another person can search for, so friends require an account. Linking an email or Google is also what lets the streak follow you off this browser. The daily five themselves do not require it.

What other players can see

A public profile shows the username and avatar you picked, not your email. Your email is used to send a one-time sign-in code, or it is the address on the Google account you used. It is not printed on the leaderboard.

Room codes are the invitation. Someone who does not have the code is not in the room. Codes are not reused from a room that has already finished in a way that would drop a stranger into an old game.
