How scoring works

Last updated: October 27, 2026

There is no correct option

Each prompt has two options. You score by predicting the side more players have already chosen, not by finding a hidden right answer. After you vote, the game shows the split and whether you matched the side that was ahead.

The number on the screen is computed from the votes cast before yours. Someone who plays later sees a different split, because your vote is part of their tally.

Points for one vote

These amounts are before the streak multiplier. The multiplier is applied at the end and the result is rounded to the nearest whole XP.

Why a close split pays more

An obvious majority is an easy read, so it pays close to the 10 XP floor. A split that could go either way is the actual skill of the game, so it pays more, up to 15 XP before the streak multiplier. Missing the majority still pays 1 XP. You are never at zero for answering.

A tie is not treated as a win for either side. Side A is not assumed to be the hive when the counts are equal.

The streak multiplier

The streak is the number of days in a row you have finished all five daily questions. The multiplier for today's round is 1 plus one tenth of the streak you already have when the day starts, and it never goes above 2. A brand-new streak pays 1×. A 5-day streak pays 1.5×. A streak of 10 or more pays double.

Finishing all five adds a day to the streak when you also finished the day before. Miss a day and the next time you finish, the streak starts over. The day changes at midnight Eastern (America/New_York), not 24 hours after your last answer.

Endless mode, private rooms, and looking at a friend's vote do not add to the daily score or the streak. Only the five shared questions do.

What the profile percentage means

Hive agreement is the share of today's answers that matched the side that was ahead, counting a first vote as a match. A tie does not count as a match. Until a prompt has 100 votes, the result is labeled an early hive signal. The percentages are the votes so far, and a small sample can still move.
